  • The CI Cable Identifier will safely identify a dead (or de-energized) primary cable within a group of energized or de-energized cables as well as live secondary cables (including neutrals) up to 240 VAC (440 optional). The absolute safe identification is based on polarity and signal magnitude of the DC pulse (up to 100 A) coming from the transmitter, which is picked up by the receiver and a clip-on probe. The transmitter can operate on 120 VAC or internal battery (up to 50 hrs run time). The entire system functions without user adjustments and will, under no circumstances, provide a false positive identification. The standard combination kit (for HV & LV cables) includes a 6flexible clip-on probe, and two touch sensors for all your applications where a clip on

  • Such safety measures take a lot of effort and are not always practical. PIL 8 requires that the ground or shorting must not be removed. On the contrary, this grounding is an essential part of the procedure, which means, the cable must be grounded and shorted for the system to work with the result that test is absolutely safe. For each phase the corresponding transceiver clamp is installed on the grounded cable end and then at the selection point each phase is identified and marked.

  • Whether you are restructuring a network, planning new networksystems or performing switching operations, precisephase identification is essential for the safe and reliable operationof a network.

The PVS 100i assists you in checking the phase quickly and precisely. It helps you to avoid faulty switching, eliminates safety risks, reduces operation expenses, prevents a one-sided load of the network and improves the service.

  • For use on any grounded electrical system, DETEX Voltage Detectors are available in seven models that cover a range from distribution class to transmission line voltages up to 550 kV. Biddle offers six electronic "beeper" models and one model with LED indication for greater visibility when testing indoors.

The beeper-style electronic detectors provide audible and visual indication of the presence of phase-to-ground ac voltages, in accordance with ANSI C84.1-1982 standards.

The 6.9-kV model is equipped with a telescopic pole. All other models are fitted for universal spline mounting on a hot line pole rated for the voltage of the system being tested.

Electronic voltage detectors for use on distribution line voltages (Cat. No. 514360 series) provide a single red LED.

Detectors rated for transmission line voltages (Cat. No. 514242 series) provide four LEDs for improved visibility at greater distances.

The LED-indicating voltage detector is designed for indoor testing of grounded ac systems. A bright LED indicator provides easy visibility in poor lighting conditions. During testing, the presence of voltages within the detector's operating range will illuminate the bright LED lamp.

A built-in piezoelectric voltage source provides a test feature to ensure that the detector is operative before use. The self-test is activated by a pushbutton.

The LED detector is equipped with a 48-in. (1219-mm) telescopic pole calibrated and marked for voltages within the ratings of the detector. These demarcations assist the user in adjusting the pole to the length required for safe operation. The pole retracts to 34 in. (864 mm) for convenient storage in a vinyl carrying case when not in use.

  • The Split-box Pipe and Cable Locator is a hand-held instrument in the classic split-box design, consisting of a transmitter and a receiver. The instrument traces underground conductive networks such as water and gas mains, telephone, cable TV, and electric power cables. It determines buried lines depth and locates underground metallic masses such as valve caps and manhole covers.

Designed with patented super-inductive technology, the Split-box Pipe and Cable Locator is lightweight, portable, and easy to use. For easy transport, the instrument and accessories are supplied with a protective tote bag.

  • The intuitive, menu supported operator guidance of the MFM 10 works using the well accepted SebaKMT Easy-Go principle. The fully automatic measurement and evaluation of the measured data gives the operator a fast, easy and reliable tool to test the sheath of cables, and to perform a prelocation and pinpointing of detected faults.

The bipolar prelocation supports the detection of galvanic and thermoelectric influences and increases the prelocation accuracy and quality.

  • The sheath test system MMG 10 is used for the voltage testing of plastic insulated cable jackets. The test evaluated the leakage current in respect to the cable lengths. An adjustable current limiter avoids an eventual drying or unintended change of a fault spot.

The high output current can also be used for the low resistive burning of a fault. For pinpointing of sheath faults in plastic insulated shielded cables and earth faults in unshielded cables, the MMG 10 provides a pulsed output voltage. The pinpointing is done by the step voltage method with the Earth fault locator ESG 80-2 / ESG NT.

  • The earth fault locator ESG NT is used to pinpointing cable sheath faults with great accuracy. Using a bright, sun readable TFT color display makes it very easy use.

The displayis by a bargraph, similar to the analogue display or by a history display, which shows the deflections of the last 7 pulses. A fully automatic calibration keeps the display always at zero and the integrated noise suppression eliminates all influences by DC, Railway currents, industrial plants and high resistive soil environment. By two earth rods, the ground step voltage potential is measured and the direction towards the fault is indicated by the display.

The ESG NT is also available as combination set with the digiPHONE+ in one unit.

  • Important control, signal and supply systems, such as those for railway installations, hospitals, power plants or other industrial facilities, are designed to be potential free (for example IT systems) and are monitored by earth fault indicators in order to ensure safe and uninterrupted operation.

A single earth fault will cause no service interruption. Only with the occurrence of a second earth fault a high risk of partial or complete breakdown of the installation arises. For this reason, any earth fault must be located and repaired as fast as possible. This fault location is done by the Geolux GL 660-1. The GL 660 is directly connected to the faulty line with life voltages up to 660 V, and generates a low frequent signal which allows the tracing by a specific receiver along the faulty line to the fault position.
